Anaïs Faythor ~ Currently on a leave of absence from college due to tragic circumstances, Anaïs is continuing her journey through self-discovery that she embarked on in Flight of Discovery. She is also learning just how strong and important she truly is. While Anaïs is doing everything in her power to emerge as the woman she desires to be, dark forces and self-doubt are creating very real obstacles that threaten her progress.
Elian Mafamille ~ After his own personal tragedies and subsequent brushes with death, Elian is struggling to find his own identity. He is unsure of how he and Anaïs should interact with each other, although he knows being apart is out of the question. Elian is working with his own weaknesses, and deciding how they impact his new found strength.
Jeffery “Junior” McVaugh ~ Junior is trying on the cloak of a more selfless man, even if it’s a loose and infrequent fit. Sensing tension and discord, Junior continues to use humor to deflect and diffuse uncomfortable situations, until the spotlight is turned on him.
Mahdi Colbert ~ Mahdi is still fighting her own insecurities. While she is eager to assist, she can be her own worst enemy.
Josiah Longmire ~ Josiah begins to open up more to his new found group of friends. He also maintains his eagerness to explore all the possibilities on their adventures.
Gray Jung ~ Gray, exhausted from his capture in Flight of Discovery, causes a ripple amongst the group with a surprising decision.
Ashlyn Rutherford-Jung ~ Steadfast in her devotion to her husband, Ashlyn actively supports him and defends him.
Katarina Abigania ~ A staunch, hard-nosed business woman, Katarina is a loner living in Southern California. Extremely thin and petite, Katarina doesn’t let her stature overshadow her fierce personality.
Novel ~ Somewhat of a guide, Novel introduces Anaïs and her friends to secrets about the reasons behind their endeavors. He provides wisdom and clarity, although in a somewhat robotic fashion that at times is off-putting to his new companions.
Offena ~ A warrior through and through, Offena is kin to Novel, and revels in the opportunity to train Anaïs and her friends. She is extremely straightforward, and unquestionably agressive.
Eos ~ Eos is kin and confidant to Novel and Offena. More of a philosopher than a fighter, Eos tends to be the voice of reason and a wealth of knowledge.
Nina and Fayette Faythor ~ Nina is Anaïs’ mother and caregiver while she was young. Nina is a part-time career woman and mother of three, and dotes upon her children. She relishes in the ability to cook for them and care for them as they need, however, she refuses to spoil her children in any capacity. Fayette is Anaïs’ father. He is of French and Ethiopian decent. His mother left Ethiopia at a young age, and met his father in France. They lived on a ranch, and worked as farmhands, having 12 children, of which Fayette is the youngest. After being sent to America for school, Fayette met Nina. While he tends to be aloof, he is absolutely devoted to his family and works hard to provide for them.
Anthony and Jaya Faythor ~ Anthony is Anaïs’ younger brother. He is playful and caring, and protective of both his sisters. He can be shy at times, but loves a good laugh. Jaya, Anthony’s twin, looks up to her older sibling, Anaïs. She can’t stand to be apart from her siblings, and is overjoyed to be in their company. Jaya is bubbly and always happy, no matter the company.
Jessie and Jacques Mafamille ~ Estranged from her abusive husband, Jessie is a timid woman who was forced to raise her boys by herself. Jacques, a contractor, left his family after an extremely violent evening. While he is no longer an integral part of their lives, he continues to cause turmoil, intermittently.
